"Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters" is a line from a song in the movie "White Christmas". As children my sisters Patty, Kathy and I would watch the movie and get up and sing the song when it came on. Actually, I remember sitting on the stairs where there were openings in the wall along the stairs looking into the living room. We'd each stick our head in one of the openings while we were singing.Several years ago, we decided it would be fun to get together to watch the movie each December. Kathy hosts the party each year. It is always a festive, relaxing evening where we can catch up on each other's lives and share some delicious food.
What started out with just the sisters (and some years just Kathy and me) has grown! We invite the sister-in-laws, our cousin Barb and now my best friend Judy (who is an honorary sister).
Each year Kathy and I get up, sometimes adorned with a feather boa, and sing along to the "Sisters Sisters" song. We have no shame and enjoy the laughs!
And each year we insist that next year we'll rehearse and we'll get costumes!!
