Goin' to Grandma Terry's House!

"Change light change! We're goin' to Grandma Terry's house! Change light change! We're goin' to Grandma Terry's house! Woohoo - it worked!" - heard from two little red-headed munchkins in the backseat of our car this afternoon. Sammi was entrusted with her mommy's camera which she used to videotape the car ride there and back. She didn't take many pictures of us actually AT Grandma Terry's house, lol.
A couple times a year, I'll take my grandchildren to have lunch and play at Grandma Terry's house.
Sadly, this time Olivia couldn't go with us. Grandma Terry always has "a feast" (Sammi's words) for us; a little bit of this, a little bit of that. This time Grandpa even joined us for lunch!
After lunch, the kids played "Store," one of their favorite things to do there. David manned the cash register and distributed money to the "shoppers" (Grandma Terry and me) while Sammi set up the store and tended the stray dog she found and promptly put up for sale.


After awhile, Grandma got out a Word Bingo game for us to play! We were all surprised at how well David can read! After he won the first game, he helped me be the caller while Grandma and Sammi played for 2nd place. Of course, the winner AND the 2nd place person got a prize (a little bag of potato chips). We played AGAIN and there were MORE prizes. I even won my OWN little bag of chips!



There is always ice cream and cookies for dessert! Sammi decided to let hers melt so she could have ice cream soup later!

Both kids played the piano for us. They played Hide 'N Seek", David playing the shark music while Sammi hid.

The time passed too quickly and soon it was time to leave. Grandma Terry appeared with goodie bags for both kids. Looking forward to a Monday holiday so we can do this again!
