The Official Start of Summer

It's official - summer is here in Buffalo!!! How I do I know, you ask, especially when the calendar says we have almost a month to go? Well it's 78 degrees, blue skies, green lawns and JOHN IS PUTTING IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN!!





Obviously my darling husband (also known affectionately as "Mr. Nature") has decided there is no longer danger of frost. This year "we" are growing peas, green beans, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes (which conveniently seeded themselves from last year's crop), lots of green peppers, chives, garlic and zucchini! We are also growing strawberries and blueberries this year too! John is also putting colorful annuals into our already luscious gardens! Yes, summer is here. Another sure sign is this:



The grill is out and we are grilling hamburgers (okay cheeseburgers) for dinner! Yummmm... yes, life is good!
